Mike Williams was a professional football player in the National Football League (NFL). He played five seasons and had an estimated net worth of $ 5 million. Throughout his NFL career, he played for three different teams. At the time of his death, his net worth was $ 5 million.

Mike Williams Football Career

William was a professional footballer in the NFL and he played college football. During the fourth round of the 2010 NFL draft, he was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while playing for the Syracuse Orange. William also played for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL.

While in Riverside Institute he had 970 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns on offense and 35 tackles with two interceptions on defense. By 2007, Williams finished with 60 receptions for 837 yards and ten touchdowns in the 12 games during the season.

During the 2008 season, he was suspended for academic reasons, unfortunately, he was involved in a road accident and had to quit the team in 2009. In the seven games during the 2009 season, he finished with 49 receptions for 746 yards and six touchdowns.

Mike signed a four-year contract with the Buccaneers valued at $2.32 million in 2010. He made five receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns. This put him on the record as the first buccaneer rookie to score a touchdown in a continuous game since the time of Carnell Williams. That helped him record his first 100-yard receiving game having 105 yards on four receptions and a touchdown.

In 2011 he was ranked 83rd on the NFL top 100 players of 2011 as he caught 68 passes for 771 yards and by the end of the season, he had 996 finishing the season on top notch.

In 2013, he extended his contract to five years valued at $39.62 million and in 2014 he converted $4ook of his workout bonus to a mandatory base salary.

Williams signed a contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in April 2016 which lasted for four months and they released him. After leaving the league, he went to work in construction.

Contracts, Fines and Suspensions

Williams had a good income during his NFL career. Mike successfully earned $12million. He made $ 10.4 million while he worked with the Buccaneers. During his contract with the Bills, he earned $1.8 million and a one-year deal worth $760 working with the Chiefs.

He however lost money due to disciplinary actions related to not adhering to league rules and uniform violations. During his first disciplinary action, he lost $5,512 followed by $11,025 both penalties were due to uniform violations. His third incident led to suspension for six weeks of the 2015 season and he was not paid.

Personal Life and Death of Mike William

Mike Williams attended the Riverside Institute of Technology. He had a son and a daughter with Tierney Lyle.

Williams went to work in construction after his football career where he faced a tragic accident. He was paralyzed from his waist down and in his right arm after a steel beam fell on him. He was hospitalized as he lost consciousness but unfortunately, three days later he passed away on September 5 2023 at the age of 36.
